Super Dark Roast coffee
Super Dark Roast Coffee, or extremely dark roast coffee, are each fair descriptions. Since we Air Roast or coffee at Fogbuster Coffee Works, our beans are floating on hot air, not touching the hot walls of a drum roaster. There are many benefits to roasting this way, the removal of "chaff" or burnt by products, controlled and consistent roasts, but also the ability to roast at a higher temperature than can be achieved in any drum roaster. The reason being, that in a drum roaster the beans would catch on fire, at the temps we can comfortably still roast. This allows up to truly turn that temp dial up to 11 and really bring out that smoke!
